Preseason Week One- Denver
I cannot believe the season is already here! Actually, in a sense I can, but I also feel like sometimes it drags and then sometimes I blink and we've fast forwarded through four months.
There is absolutely nothing like watching Patrick play out on the field so I told myself this year that I am going to be going to every single game I'm available to. I know, that sounds like a lot but I know it's probably one of the last times in our life that I will be able to do so.
Our first preseason game was at home, so I flew up to Chicago on Thursday before it and got to stay until Monday evening. It was so nice to be back with the boys, even for just a little while, and to be able to be with Pat in person- rather than on FaceTime- ha!
Sadly, we lost to the Broncos, 24-17, but we put up an awesome fight and the team looked really great. It was also the first time I felt like the crowd was really for us. They were up on their feet multiple times throughout the game, cheering and supporting the boys which was really cool to experience. Cheers, to a happy, exciting season at Soldier Field!
