Twelve Week Post- Op ACL Surgery

“Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” -Martin Luther King Jr

I can’t believe it’s almost been 12 weeks since @patscales48 surgery and those first few miserable days of recovery and rehab. Three months have almost flown by, his recovery is proceeding as it should, and his attitude about everything always puts a smile on my face. I’m proud of you, P, There are so many amazing things ahead for you ❤️

I cannot believe tomorrow will mark three months since Pat's ACL reconstruction! We are so thankful for the time that has passed and so, so hopeful for the future.

Pat's recovery has been going so well. He spends his days working out, attending team meetings, and dedicates three to four hours on average a day with the trainers at the Bears facility rehabbing his knee. This rehab and recovery has been way more intense than we originally anticipated and way more challenging than his back recovery. We are so grateful to not only have state of the art facilities for him to rehab in, but to have had an amazing, top-notch surgeon, and for him to be involved in team activities during this phase.

This month Pat is hoping to start snapping! He'll meet with his surgeon next month for his four month post op and we plan on staying in Chicago throughout the off-season so he can stay with the trainers and weight coaches to help him continue with his progress. His goal is to be completely cleared and at full football speed come April when OTAs begin.

We are forever grateful for all of the continuous prayers and thoughts during this time. We are so excited to keep rehabbing and getting better each day and cannot wait to be back on the field again!
